Test of Honesty and mind play.

Today when I was heading to my office I went to fill my vehicle(Honda Dio) with petrol and I told the attender to fill for Rs.150/-He had just started filling, when the looked at the meter it was already 1.1 litres, I was a little suspicious but rejected it saying he must have filled it.then when I gave my credit card he was a bit dissappointed and said "HO cardaa"(mind u it is kannada) some what startling me.

After paying the guy money, I left the petrol bunk and while on the road I noticed that the tank was only half full but usually it would at 3/4th the tank for Rs.150 worth of petrol.

So suspecting foul play and went back to the bunk and shouted at the attender, hearing my shouting, the supervisor came along and checked my petrol tank, applogised for the error and instructed the attender to fill one more liter.

I started leaving the place and suddenly my ears kind of picked up the attender inform another customer who had just come along that the petrol is "Extra Premium" (this is the high octane petrol- which more than the normal unleaded petrol). This is when I realised that there was no hanky panky business of the attender. since he had filled "Extra Premium" petrol it fills only half my tank.

Now I realised my mistake but was happy that I had got extra petrol for free. At the same time I started feeling guilty, I tried to justify saying that he should have told me before filling the petrol that it is "Extra Premium" which I never fill.

But my consicense did not agree and I went back to the bunk, the supervisor was probably pissed seeing me enter. However I told him that it was no fault of his and told him the story of the confusion. I even appologised with the attender. The poor guy face started glowing after hearing that it was not his fault.

God today saved me from making somebody's life misserable.

Thank you my Lord.
